I spent quite a while on the phone today with Bank of America, and their HAFA servicer, LRC. It seems no one will take responsibility for the fact that Fannie Mae loans are now eligible for the HAFA program. LRC (Loss Resolution Corporation) insists they DO NOT service any government loans in the HAFA program. Strange, but Bank of America insists that they do. When I asked to speak to a supervisor at LRC I was completely stonewalled. In fact, they went so far as to hang up on me. So, I called BofA again, only to be told by the short sale support specialist that LRC hangs up on them too. Hmmm. Seems to me that BofA needs to fire LRC, and find someone to process the HAFA files who can do the job, and do it politely. I won't give up however, my client deserves my best effort to get their short sale considered for the HAFA program. I don't quit that easily. Maybe I should contact my Congressman. Yeah, right.
